First thing we did in science was astronomy. My favorite blog post was Earth,Moon,Sun slide show it was my favorite because I liked learning about the different eclipse and when they occur. Also I thought learning about how the earth rotates was very interesting. The best part was learning how the sun was formed.I also got to learn different things about slide show I never new. I learned how to put pictures on the slide and adjust them. Also how to put a picture as the background of a slide.
I never new that there is different types of smog and fog until we got into weather and climate. I did photochemical smog that was caused by pollution.I never new how bad pollution could get in our cities and how bad the smog really was. There were many other different types of fogs to that was worse then photochemical smog and how different the fog was to it.
My favorite geology project was we got to do the scratch test. Our teacher gave us a few rocks and we had to figure out its hardness level. It was cool to feel around the different types of rocks. It was also fun to see if i was right on the hardness level. I think i learned more about the different types of rocks and why some were softer than others. I thought it was interesting to that the diamond is the hardest rock i never new that.
The bajing river was a lot of fun. I learned the use for dams and why there made. I learned about a different cultures water and why there dam was built. The three gorges dam was built so the flooding wouldn't happen in villages. It was cool t learn how they built the dam. The dam wasn't used like all other dams either. We had comment on someone else blog about a different subject. I looked at a blog about the jaws wave. It only happens once a year. i saw some pictures of it and thought it was very pretty.
Project management was the funnest of all.I have never felt like i was a leader in groups like that.It made me more confident, and to do other things like student council. I also got to talk to other student i never got to talk to. I manged to different groups one who did solar panel energy and another who did steam pollution.I learned about solar calculators and cars. i thought it was very interesting.I also learned how much steam pollution is a problem and different ways we can make a difference to help reduce it.

Penny Lab
The first step to the penny lab is to to make sure you have all of your materiel's paper towel, penny, glass of water, eye dropper. Then you lay the penny on the paper towel. After fill the eye dropper with water then drop it on the penny till the water spills over. My prediction for the penny lab was i would get ten drops of water. The outcome though was i got up to 25 drops. I think the reason is adhesion. Adhesion makes water stick together so the water stuck together on the penny until it build up and spilled over.

Chang River China
I visited China. I went to a river called the Chang River there was a dam called the three gorges. I asked the tour guide why the dam was built. He said a hundred years ago the river would flood the city near by. They built the damn so no more floods would happen . Many people were evacuated . Even though the water was very pretty and relaxing like other waters it can be dangerous to. This river has flooded many times that's why they built the dam. This dam is the most hydro power project. The dam sets record of the most people displaced. Even though the picture may seem really pretty when you get there its really not. There are many mines and construction that makes the water a great dump When are far away from the dam you can hear in a distance the water flow. When up close it is very loud. There is not many habitat life there and there not much plant life in the water because of all the dirtiness. Also when up close to the dam all you can here is is the construction and the heavy water flow.

EarthQuakes Web quest
1.A] Most general era would occur along the Eurasian plate.
1.B] A specifc place were earthquakes occur is China.
2]I think earthquakes occur there because that where the plates move more often.
3]The are witch this occurs is "The ring of Fire"
4]The closest place were an earthquake occurred was Denver the depth was 3.1 miles People would not feel this because the number is less then 3.5 not much ground would happen only a couple of miles and 64 more energy would occur.
5]An earthquake that happened in the last week was The Kuril Islands. The earthquakes magnitude was 7.4. Earthquakes are common in this area but they are small.Yes this earthquake was felt.Since this earthquake was in the water it caused a tsunami. The cities near this was Tokyo,Japan,Moscow Russia,Kruils islands.
6]To protect yourself from an earthquake you must duck and cover under a sturdy structure. Such as a desk or table.Slow down your past to only a few steps. Also stay away from windows in case they break, or any heavy and tale objects. If there is not a table near you duck your head into you knees and hide your face.

Occluded Front. The cool air kept pushing together and made the cool air into a big cloud that caused precaption.
